dodda ganesha and dodda basavana

THE DODA GANESHA temple is situated in' basavangudhi 'at a place called 'bugalrock'  is one of the historical places in bangalore .The ganesha idol suituated here is curved on a big rock many years ago and is said to curved at the period of kempegowda who was an palegar and who laid the bulding stones of the bangalore city.As per the ritual aspects the DODA GANESHA is an sacred ,where the local people pray  at him first in begining of the works or duties in their field and worship him in order to avoid the obstruculs in their works[vignavinashanam]. many people begin their day by chanting him daily in the morning

Apart from the doda ganesha temple in 'bugalrock' basavanagudhi there is an temple for bull commonly called DODDA BASAVANA GUDHI or THE BULL TEMPLE just besides the doda ganesha temple on the small hilly region the name of the place BASAVANAGUDHI is arived due the presence of this temple it ,it is as old as the dodaganesha temple,another mystery's that as you see in the picture there is an presence of three horn like structure  on the head of basavanna or the bull it was mounted by the people at the past times saying that the bull or basavanna is growing .The presence of the horn like structure suppresses the growth of  the bull. Also history says that if the bull continues to grow such that it burst the roof of temple then there is an end for the universe. Another main event which took place in every year is KADLEKAIPERSE
